This volume was designed for the University of Sheffield.

The design was based on the water courses surrounding Kelham Island in Sheffield and the Hepworth Wakefield as contributions included reference to both. The philosophy underpinning the design is based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. The illustrations reference the annotated maps produced by Prussian polymath Alexander von Humboldt who travelled the globe measuring, classifying but passionate about the fusion of science and art.
