Designed for the University of Sheffield. Project working with writers from the University in conjunction with the National Railway Museum.

I underpinned the design of this edition with the idea of ‘Future Shock’ - the shock of cultural, structural and technological change. An accelerated change - the shock of the new. The volume uses the 4 stages of culture shock as it’s underpining infrastructure - Stage 1 (Infatuation), Stage 2 (Frustration/ Fatigue), Section 3, Adjustment, and Stage 4 (Acceptance).

Many thanks to the National Railways Museum, York who allowed access to their archive. The illustrations in the volume were developed from studying schematics within the museum.
